Cultural Arts Building

Completed: October 12, 2020Brewster Place wanted to build a new Cultural Arts Building, including an indoor pool, to further their mission of providing optimal quality of life for senior living. The McElroy’s value engineering approach helped provide the specialized functionality the facilities required while offering unexpected ownership-cost savings.
For the pool, McElroy’s provided a high-efficiency, low-refrigerant dehumidifier option that saves money on energy and maintenance. In the new theater, we installed HVAC duct silencers for sound control. We put a dust-collection unit in the wood shop, and the spacious kitchen area includes high-efficiency cooking hoods and make-up air systems.
The new workout facility and dining room areas also received high-efficiency HVAC systems. In addition, McElroy’s provided the plumbing expertise and ADA compliant fixture installation for the extensive lavatory services required by this significant expansion.
