Renovation
Lawrence, KS 19,712 SQ FT
Completed: August 01, 2022Lawrence Presbyterian Manor is a faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community serving Lawrence, Kansas and area seniors in every stage of their journeys. When the time arrived to enhance qulity of living with a major renovation of the Manor’s fourth- and fifth-floor residences, McElroy’s craftsmen were up to the challenge.
Built in the 1970s, mechanical system spaces were tight and much of the waste and vent piping was decaying cast iron. McElroy’s used innovative ways to reroute and replace piping with long-lasting PVC and PEX options. Updated kitchens and restrooms were fitted with attractive, modern fixtures. McElroy’s replaced old PTAC room air-conditioners with newer models featuring wireless programmable controllers.
Much of the work was done during the COVID outbreak, and the McElroy’s team was carefully observant of the heightened health needs of residents and staff. Completed on schedule, the refreshed residences are welcomed by current residents and serve as showpieces for tours.
